Old knowledge, new harvests
For generations, the Indigenous Uud Danum people have relied on traditional vegetables, medicinal plants, and forest knowledge to support their health and wellbeing.
ASRI is helping revitalize these practices through community gardens, seed banks, nutrition education, and Indigenous knowledge sharing — empowering women and youth to strengthen food security while preserving cultural heritage.
Over the past months, the team has recruited a local Indigenous facilitator, documented local food species, and engaged communities in preparing for the next phase of implementation.
